The Synthetic Dream Foundation's newest album "Mechanical Serpent" is currently finished and being manufactured as you read this. The album is a stylistic continuation of the sound created during the last two albums, with a deft fusion of industrial, IDM, electronica, and orchestral music. The album features guest vocals by Marcela Bovio (Stream of Passion and The Gathering), Summer Bowman (the machine in the garden), Susan Siren, and Tamara Kent. The album is being released by Mythical Records, and will be shipping on Feb. 18th 2010. The album is currently in pre-order from both TSDF's and Mythical Record's websites for the price of $10. Libération Animale is a story about animals, earth and unnecessary suffering. It is an attempt to shed light upon the everyday suffering of billions of living beings, a suffering on which we rarely reflect. Leo Tolstoj once wrote that a man can live and be healthy without killing animals for food; therefore, if he eats meat, he participates in taking animal life merely for the sake of his appetite. Hence, the message of Libération Animale is that we are all equal, no one more worthy than the other.

The story starts out with Kluster and Bloomen whose tunes are somewhat slower and minimalistic with squeaky, trippy sounds. The introduction is followed by The Grobians’ hypnotic beats and goa tranceish melodies and grand bombastic Scandotrance à Ka-Sol. After that, it is time for Procsish basslines, prolonging the previous dancefloor hypnotism. Taigan Sun’s contribution is what you can expect from an up-and-coming producer from Sweden, modulating between being funky and driving, soaked in prominent mind-bending elements. Known for their fine forest trance, Attoya, Traskel, and Zoon increase the intensity of the story, hovering between different types of abstraction, speed, and moods The story ends on a positive note yet still intense with Money Cannot Be Eaten’s Schlabbaduerstic hangover tune.

The music is at the centre of attention and we do not demand that everyone be vegans, even though we wish that would be the case. What we do wish, however, is that everyone out there will reflect on his or her way of life and how it affects all living beings with whom we share this planet. Unnecessary suffering can be avoided and it is not too late for change and compassion!

wow watt a trip, psychedelic rules!

i was in the center of the dancefloor, enjoying the beautiful sounds of the music, when i saw a blue/green light in the sky, i looked at it and examined it and noticed how the sphere of light was getting closer to us, no one else seemed to notice, i saw closely as the sphere approached, curiously i walked to it, i had realized that no one else was bothered by this incredible sight. i got closer to the sphere , it had now landed near a tree and the light was no longer visible, i saw how the the round object opened from the top in four equal triangles and gently set down on the ground. inside was another sphere that had a door, (it opened like the sensor glass doors we see on the market store) only that this was what seemed to be metal. i stood and saw how a creature about 5'5 with an oval head and little body and long arms came out and just stared at me. for long it had been my dream that an extra terrestial being would someday come and take me with them, to learn what us the human race dont know.
i went closer to the sphere and the creature now moved aside as if inviting me in, i walked in.
i was expecting to find many colorful gadgets,buttons, and maybe an experiment table, but only that this was different, the inside was all white, no windows, with the exception of some gadgets that seemed to be what controlled the sphere because when i got in another creature pressed sometihng and the doors shut and i felt how the four sides of the sphere were now closing to make the original shape. i felt a sudden burst and i felt like as if i were in an elevator ride, only that this was faster and i felt alot of turbulence, a digital numbering appeared, it read 186,000, was it that we were traveling at the speed of light?, i was frightened, i closed my eyes and hoped for the best, it was obvious that the sphere was taking off.
a couple seconds later i opened my eyes to an astonishing view, the sphere was now crystal clear and in front of me was what seemed to be planet earth, the view was beautiful, i saw our wonderfull planet, its wonderous seas, i could seet the shape of our continents. i looked at the creature, he too was looking at the planet,with no expression.he alomst looked pale, he had a different look than i first saw him up close.
then suddenly telviosion images started to appear, one by one, shocking and disturbing, many more appeared, out of nowhere, videos of what seemed to portray war,diseases,explosion,gun blasts,children runing,people with frightened and fear expression,blood,sufferin,in some there where the images of those who claim to rule our planet and have caused much pain,leaders of countries that share this view that the planet is theirs and have to hurt people to gain not only a political status but to gain territory, leader past and present. images you see on your daily news televions...
i stood looking at these images and then i felt the sudden emotion of anger,sadness,fear,disgust,horror,regret,GUILT, all wrapped into a single feeling, nothing i have ever before experienced.
all stopped and the image of earth re-apeared, only it had a pulse, and the rate of the pulse would beat twice as fast every time, a cloud with the shape of a mushroom appeared, it seemed to be that of a bomb, then another appeared in another continent, then several more, what i was seeing was maybe that of a nuclear war, i could feel the pain and agony and screams and cries.....
i saw how human beings brought our planet to destrction.......

i turned to the the creature and he turned to me, when then, he brought out his hand and and a single flower to grow, he stretched out his hand and as if he were placing the flower over earth. the now destructed earth started to revive, many more flowers started to grow, and oceans and and land started to reapear, i had never noticed how fragile our planet is....

it seemed that these creatures werent here to show me the wonders of space, but of something we have here on earth, LOVE.

i tried to express my gratitude for this creature, i had so many things to ask him, but before i could do any of this i was back to where i was.

US/Mexico Tour 2009

Hey mates!

Greetings from the other side of the pond. I hope that everything is well with you guys. I'm posting here to update you on next year's little adventure of mine. I'm crossing the pond in February to do a tour in the US and Mexico for some six weeks before heading off back to Europe. I'm taking a sabbatical year to live and work on music in Barcelona.

The confirmed dates are as follows:

Feb 28: Austin, TX
Mar 7: Toluca, Mexico
Mar 14: Sonora, Mexico
Mar 21: Cleveland, OH
Mar 28: Asheville, NC
Apr 4: New York City, NY

As I am entering the US on the Waivers Programme, I'm allowed to stay for 90 days without having to apply for a visa. Hence, if someone is interested in taking the opportunity to have me over for a party after April 4, we could work something out, perhaps. Just let me know sometime during the next two weeks and I'll look into it.

At any rate, I can't wait to go back to the US!

After having moved to the city of Oerebro, Alex discovered his predilection for synthesisers as a result of Weirdo Beardo having introduced him to the world of sequencers in the Little Blue Men studio. Years have passed and today Alex a k a Kiriyama is one of the co-founders of the Swedish power house Devils Mind Records and the studio group Checkpoint Music. He's frequently collaborating with French producer Hishiryo which has resulted in a number of co-produced tunes having been released, all of them comprising Japanese themes and East Asian influences.
Although it's common that people categorise Kiriyama as nocturnal music, Kiriyama's sound has a goaish slant today since goa trance was the music with which he fell in love during the mid 90s. With some ten tracks already out and more in the pipeline, he's currently working on his debut album which is planned for the first half of 2009. Moreover, he's currently compiling a CD of Scandinavian forest music for the Italian label Inpsyde Media.

Directions to Hog Ridge Hollow

From I-540 take the 6th street exit (#62) EAST twords fayetteville until it turns to highway 16. stay on 16 east through elkins and durham (and be careful these are small towns with bored police officers, so dont go bumping your music, speeding, etc, just keep your wits about you and your fine) once you reach durham keep your eyes peeled on the right for hog ridge hollow its a gravel road going up a steep hill right past the cemetary. there will be a sign but its easy to miss so pay attention. turn right at the sign then go down the road staying left at both forks. look for the gate approx 1.5 miles from the road. follow the dugga dugga dugga after that = ]

no glass containers, pets, drugs, fireworks, weapons of mass destruction, etc etc

water and some food will be vended but bring everything else you need to camp out under the stars. the weather in the wee mornin can get chilly so dont forget warm clothes as well as your summer threads for the hot daylight hours. you all know the drill.

Brand spankin new dj mix by me that includes some of my favorite tracks at the moment. The style ranges from totally nuts to groovy-drippy-trippy dancefloor smashers. It was recorded on Aug 02, 08 at PsyCircle Studios in San Diego, CA.

SLAMMO!!! brings to you, a smattering of some of the tastiest pstalent in the country, nay, the universe. Oh, and if the universe was just a marble like in that one movie, the pstalent SLAMMO!!! is bringing would quite likely be tastier than that of the other marbles that super gigantic ultra-galactic beings toss around with so little care. The music will be good, is really the point that SLAMMO!!! is trying to make here...

Speaking of tasty...
You know how some people, when they eat dinner, they make sure that there is a seperation between the different foods on their plate? Well, imagine that instead of that food segregation, you jabbed a spork into the potatos and dragged them over the peas, squished them between your toast, and slathered your salad. Now you have a huge messy food collaberation. Have I lost you?

SLAMMO!!! is a musical example of this huge messy food collaberation, i will get into this more in a second...

All of the artists playing have recently been released on Compilations from Portland to Greece and beyond. There will be CDs given out as well as sold at the event, BRING YOUR 10 AND 15 DOLLAR BILLS!!!

Set times are not arranged. Halfway through FaceHeads live set, Freakazoid may just pop up to the stage and start playing his sounds, on top of FaceHead's music! Oh and look, here comes Arahat, adding even more layer and atmosphere to the mix, followed by Sasquatch, who adds a bit o' percussion. Soon after, Freaks of Nature solidly usurps the booth, starting up a full power Freaks Live set, soon followed by Squee walking up and adding sounds to Freaks of Nature, who is added later by Malaclypse, adding even more twist and flow to the whole gobby plate of potato-ey peas and toast and salad. The whole night will be like this. You will never know what is going to happen next.

To aid you in your journey through the unknown, SLAMMO!!! brings you some fine space-shapers to create pointy and round atmospheres. Zach will be presenting one of his largest and most intricate stretch fabric displays, and there are some interesting surprises that will be coming out of this artwork. Bret will be coming with an installation as well, holding space and supporting this event that supports the Gil event. Monica will be there also, putting her intention and care into a beautiful altar. And last but not least... BECKY will be spinning fire for us and doing her best to not catch any slefs on fire!

Broose is coming and offering us up a Bitchin Kitchen, with tasty morsels to purchase for life and happy bellies, profits of which go to the Gil party upcoming.

SLAMMO!!! is all-inclusive. Bring your diversity, bring your spirituality, bring your love and happiness. Bring all of these things, because these things aren't found at the party without you, they are found within you. We, as a community, NEED you to bring these things to make this event diverse and powerful, to be inclusive, accepting, tolerant, communal, and above all, joyful!

Things to Bring:
Water, food(or donation for the Bitchin Kitchen), camping chairs and tents, coolers of frothy brew or beverage, any decadent things you take with you to make you feel happy and comfortable, it is all welcome.

SLAMMO!!! is 20$ per person. 15$ per person if there are 3 or more people in your car upon arrival. Yggdrasil Records presents their 3rd release with new fresh sounds straight out of the woods. With YggdraSounds they go deeper into the concept of Forest Trance, evolving their style even further.

Konkylie (Loke & Kanka) is first out on this compilation with their debut release. A smooth and atmospheric track full of subtle details for the curious listener. Then follows the Swedish wizard Procs who never fails to deliver. Rumors has it that plants were growing out of his keyboard while composing this one. Krussedull is fairly new to the scene and with Banana Boat he tells his fairytale story full of weird and cozy vibrations. Hutti Heita returns from their Asia music-retreat with brand new forest slammers, packed with funky sounds and groovy bass-lines guaranteed to get people moving. Zoolog joins Yggdrasil Records again with a very nice and original twist of the "Århus sound". His soundscape is ever changing and evolving, reaching for new horizons. Alter Egon visits Loke, and out comes this tough, trippy stomper full of energy. Loke takes his concept another step further with Riding Bridges, exploring uncharted territory through his twisting waveforms. Derango is well known among serious listeners, and with their Ginnungagap (a name taken straight from the Nordic Mythology) they bring the essence of this compilation's story into the higher realms of psychedelia.

The land being used for this event is used for ceremonial purposes, so please respect it as if it were your own. As with all of our events it is LEAVE NO TRACE. Leave no trace meaning if you brought it in with you through the gate then you need to bring it back out with you. Bring all the supplies that you will need to get through the evening and into the next afternoon. This includes blankets to lay on under the stars, chairs, tent, bug spray, food & water. Showers are on site and are very well kept and semi private. The music on the main stage should go through till about 10AM. The site needs to be cleared by 2PM on sunday.

This event will be a rain or shine event. The land has plenty of trees and nooks to get into for camping. I suggest arriving as early as possible to have sunlight for setting up camp and finding both of the stages. Stay in the camping and stage areas since you are out in the wild, and bite anything that bites you first!!

Welcome All! Come help us celebrate the sun, or at least welcome it to Oregon, on this annual summer solstice celebration!

We are trying something a little different this year, that you all are sure to enjoy. We will go from 6pm Saturday to 6pm Sunday, with a nice collection of music. During the night, there will be a variety of music including ambient, dub, breaks, hip hop, psy-breaks, and everything in between, sure to please the ears and feet, then when the sun starts to rise we will bring out the trance and dance dance dance under the sun!

I'm looking for some current stuff that is reminiscent of old 90's trance like Hallucinogen or Man With No Name. I want to find some psy parties that play that sort of stuff in LA. I haven't followed the scene that closely these last couple years, but a lot of what gets billed as goa/psy is more like mainstream trance.. or some weird ultra high bpm stuff that sounds more like happy hardcore with some space/alien sounds dubbed in. Someone turn me on to something that will help me live the nostalgia!

okay, guys, i knew you loved squee and secret society, but i had no idea you loved us this much.

thats right... we are on our way to psytrance platinum because of your help...

Our PLaNET 6362 party last week was a full-power adventure in every sense. While we all had some great experiences that night, one of the unfortunate moments was that Vishwaatmaaa's nightpsy set was forced to a fast conclusion (after 3 tracks) when he was forced to abandon the decks in order to attend to run after me to the Queens police station.....!! :-)))))

So, here you have the "ALMOST PLaNeT 6362 Set" - pure stomping psychedelic madness that never got a chance to fill the floor!!

We are taking a preliminary head count to see who is interested in attending Boom Fest in 2008. We are looking into the possibility of chartering a flight, depending on numbers. Our group of monkeys is located in Colorado. Realizing that it is far too early for most to commit to anything in August 2008, we just wanted a rough estimate of the wish list. It may be worth the trip to Colorado for other folks to reduce overall travel costs. Please pass along the info to anyone you know, who might be interested. Thank you!
