    DJ Hidro-ponik from San Diego is by far the best dark-psy DJ I have ever heard.

    Witchdokta and Mubali(DJ) from SF are at the top of my list as well as Blue Spectral Monkey from North Carolina.

      yeah dude that dj hidro-ponik that you sent me Bodhi was great, hopefully will be able to see him in the near future. And after mubali did his live set here in Portland he did a dj set that was sick as hell, the peak song of his dj set was a Bodhisattava track BTW...

      A few dj's up here spin some pretty wicked stuff Dj Crackerjap tore it up a few weeks ago at the Future Freq party. And DJ Shadowvex
      www.shadowvex.com also has some of the sickest latest dark psy around.

      I completely second that comment about Hidro... That man has turned me on my ear many many times and usually turns me onto new music as well...

      Wichdokta is one of my alltime favorites too. He is incredibly versitile, doesn't just stick to one sound of music and is great for any time of the day or night.

      I am really getting into some djs from overseas as well, I have heard that Dennis the Menace from Devil's mind Records is really awesome. He's recording a new set for me and as soon as that's done, I can turn you guys onto it as well...

    of nothing but sick evil music,most of which i never even heard of.

    for years now my fav dj has been Ronin, currently living in b.c. canada. he introduced a huge array of some incredible deep & minimal, dark, progressive, twisted bumpin trance to our little scene here, which is starting to boom...flawless beatmatcher, 6'5, bald white, samauri dj warrior...who now owns a label with evan bluetech ( www.nativestaterecords.com ).

    If you ever get a chance to see/hear ronin spin, do so and thank me later.

          Oh, I definitely give another nomination for Hidro-Ponik. That guy was the man responsible for tuning me in to that psy sound. Also give Shadowvex a listen. Somehow managed a cd from him years ago and it still rocks my world today!!!

          I like Ghreg on Earth. I've heard Amanda in seattle and she is the shit. Technohippy is also a very good dark-psy DJ in the Seattle area.

    I play dark, but here in BC Canada on dark psy scene are just couple djs who go heavy psychedelick!!!
    The darkest dj set + liveact i heard here in Vancouver is Xenomorp. That was amazing, all that atmosphere with horror movies on... crazy staff but i realy enjoyed it.
    Big respect to djs that keep music dark and heavy DJS Causai and GOA PETE

      I totally digged the DJ set by Umbra from 5th Element at Mrinaya Festival .. watch out for this guy ...

      Dai (psytribe) and Catalyx (mindfull productions) never fail to impress with their sets either .. and heard Dejan play a couple of years back in SF, totally mindblowing ..

        I might be a little partial, but Meghan's set under
        a full moon in Wisconsin was very methodic, dark and
        twisted!

        JJ/Medisin from Asheville kills it.

        I'm a big fan of Lauryn and Mist too!

        I'm also really appreciating having Xyla 15
        minutes away from me on the live tip.

          Awwww...thanks Luke! ;) I would have to say that the set I spun in WI was the darkest I've ever spun. With the timeslot I had (1:30am-3:30am) I felt that DARK was the most appropriate sound to spin. Gotta love the dark psy!! :)

      I'v also seen Xenomorp, back in sweden. He was great. Altough we diden't have any horror movies in the background and the cops busted me and some other people. Still it was a great party. =)

    all of my hometown DJs here in asheville can get pretty dark.

    Fria from nyc played the darkest set i've heard a while at Ka-Pow. touch samadhi knows how to throw down!
